Hey, Anna, glad to see you again! Here's some Stephen King thoughts...
You should deffo give the new IT a try. Yes, Tim Curry was great in the TV show... but he was pretty much the only good thing in it, it was otherwise a rather dreary thing IMO, whereas the new movie is genuinely funny and sad and has far better production values and actors. And the new Pennywise is less campy and far more disturbing...
I hav to say, I'm one of those rare folks who doesn't really like The Dead Zone film all that much. The book is hugely moving, mainly because of the whole Johnny / Sarah romance. So damn sad but rather glossed over in the film.
Haven't watched The Dark Tower and I doubt I will bother. The trailer was enough for me. Looked shite.
Love The Bachman books, though. I've still got the hardback that had 'Rage' in it, which Mr King is trying to have deleted from history. Dunno why, I think it's excellent and there are plenty of other things you can pin a school shooting on. Also, I'd love to see a film version of The Long Walk'...
Nobody's mentioned 'Creepshow' yet...? Classic VHS rental when I was a kid, written by Mr King and directed by George A Romero (RIP)...
