OK, I've finally done it... got hold of series 1 of 'The Wire', an apparently amazing show that I just never got around to watching... so many people with similar tastes to mine can't believe I never got into it.  I'll dig into over the weekend, any 'The Wire' fans out there?  I'm always the guy who suggests / pressurises / bullies people into watching the shows I love (and to be fair, they're usually happy with my choices) so it's interesting to be the guy on the receiving end... whatdya reckon?

Done the wire a cpl of years ago . Some of the seasons are better than others . Favourite character Omar (is that right)  the guy with the shotgun. Finished gunpowder, well worth a watch

The Wire was something I really enjoyed. Dodgy season with the School but overall very good. Dunno how it has aged cos it was a long time ago I watched it but I don't think you'll regret the time investment MR

Birth of the dragon - part of the Bruce Lee story - brilliant fighting scenes  - if you like Bruce then definitely recommend

Wasn't 'Rise Of The Footsoldier' yet another movie about the Rettendon murders, those three drug dealers who got shot in a landrover in the 90's?  There's been several films 'inspired' by that event, I've deffo seen one of them, the one with Sean Bean in it.  Apparently 'Rise Of The Footsoldier 3' came out this week... I read a book about that case and I doubt the world is any poorer for the passing of those assholes...

Must get on 'Birth Of The Dragon', The Bruce Lee films were required watching when I was a teenager...

All the King's men.... The David Jason one about the Sandringham Company. Been trying to find and rewatch it for ages. I hadnt realised it was made in 1999....so 18 years since I saw it

Peaky blinders  - it's back,  our favourite 1920s gangsters with the excellent Tom Hardy have returned.  A must watch

Now the waitings over.  Frank Castle has finally made to netflix. Yes the Punisher is here to kick arse . Imo a must watch .

Just catching up with the US version of 'Shameless', first three eps of the new series.  Never saw the UK original.  Pretty sure I'm the only person in the UK who watches it.

Eight years in and it's still bloody excellent...

I never was a series fan but with people's advice I tried to pick one and it's Shameless US.Really excellent.Frank Gallagher rules!
