This 10 episode mini-series just started airing here in the United States of Trump. Called "The Terror" (that's the name of one of the ships marooned in the Arctic) and the reviews were out of sight. Tons of Brit actors in a story about an ill-fated British voyage of exploration to the North pole in 1850.
But here's the thing. Though the story really did happen, this film is fiction. No one knows what happened to those two ships. So what "The Terror" deals with is supposedly one of the best horror tales in decades. One review mentioned the first few hours are like the first hour of the film ALIEN. Remember those scenes when they landed on that planet? Tense, moody atmosphere of suspense and terror. The first hour or so of this TV series is definitely capturing that dread, that unknown.
It's based on a book that came out about ten years ago. That book had the most incredible reviews I've come across. I love tales of Arctic exploration, but for some reason I never got the book. Until a few days ago. Just started it.

So far similar to Ridley Scott's film ALIEN. (Not surprising, Ridley Scott is an executive producer of "The Terror.")
