Finally got around to watching 'Split', pretty good flick and, damn, can that James McEvoy lad act! Recommended.

If you've seen it, did you know that there's a sequel to both this film and the equally excellent 'Unbreakable' coming in January?  It's called 'Glass' and looks pretty cool...

Watched a film called 22 July - about the Utoya massacre. Not an easy watch but quite compelling

Catching up on all previoys Dr Who's. Currently on Water of Mars. One of the best episodes.

What with Halloween a few days away, our cable stations are showing a bunch of old Frankenstein films. I am watching some.

Must say FRANKENSTEIN MEETS THE WOLFMAN features a really bad Monster as played be Bela Lugosi. Mr. Lugosi was too stiff -- literally. He'd walk around without bending his knees and have his arms sticking straight out. Pretty bad.

It was indeed.  Haven't watched it in a good long while, wasn't it the one where The Doctor basically talked someone into suicide?
Who says this is a silly kids TV Show!   ???

Ah, yes, them 'spoilers', sorry if anyone hasn't seen that episode yet...  :-[

Picked up the directors cut of 'Almost Famous', a film I love and have never seen this version, for 50p in my local CEX, I think it might be one to fall asleep to on my sofa...

That one just doesn't learn. I told him months ago to watch it with spoilers, but he doesn't listen. He actually posted a post about "Best Death Scenes In Movies" -- and he couldn't see that the very nature of his post was one huge SPOILER. Good Lord.

My advice: nobody here should read any of his spoiler filled posts. You'll enjoy movies, TV, books far better.

Dog Soldiers. A decent Brit Flick. If it had a bigger budget, it would be outstanding.

Haven't seen that one in ages, must give it a go again, seeing as I loved his subsequent movies, The Descent and Doomsday.

Just started 'Making A Murderer', series 2.  Just as good as the first series.

Trip to the old cinema today to see 'Widows'... remember the 1980's UK TV show which I really liked as a kid...

A classic example of a bugbear of mine these days... a film that had so many excellent things about it but was so much lesser for being so over-long (two and a half hours here)... the performances were perfect (great cast!), the storyline had so many interesting things about it, but so much of it was stretched out, needlessly so IMHO, particularly in the first half...

Here's the trailer, I'd recommend this flick, but the trailer makes it look far more fast-paced than it is...
