Here's something you should know: Dick Cheney was despised more than any other politician in America. Even more than Nixon. Nixon was a creep. Cheney was evil.

A quiet place. I didnt really give it my full attention first time of watching. Its actually a very good film.

Yeah, it's a good film, you don't want to dwell on the plot holes too much but certainly worth a view.

I'm just catching up with the second half of 'Shameless USA' series 9.  Still great, nine years on.

OK, I only watched it today, but 'BlackkKlansman' is deffo my favourite film from 2018.  Often funny, occasionally shocking and, incredibly, based on a true story about how a black cop infiltrated the KKK. A brilliant watch, get on it my fellow movie nerds!  Trailer here...

Finally got around to watching that new 'Jack Ryan' show, based on the Tom Clancy novels.  Pretty good, judging by the first couple of eps.

Lost  - strangely never seen any of it before think the fact there's 120 episodes put me off . Only about a third into season 1 but enjoying it so far should keep me going for a while lol .
Finished season 2 of the punisher, not as good as the excellent 1 season but still very enjoyable.
Finished Vikings rumour has it there won't be another season tho it's definitely gone down hill a bit of late .

Pol, hope you enjoy Lost!  Personally, I gave up in season 4 or 5, but I really, absolutely loved the early seasons and I've often meant to give it another go to see if I can make it through until the end.  That's with knowing that the ending is generally regarded as one of the worst in TV history (no spoilers) but they said that about the Battlestar Galactica remake and I quite liked the ending of that brilliant show...

Just got back from a Sunday afternoon in the pub so stuck on 'The Guard', brilliant film...

Finally saw Spike Lee's BLACK KLANSMAN. It wasn't worth it.

Film got great reviews, I enjoy many of Spike's films....but this one is a big disappointment. One thing that I really didn't expect was that the star of the film - Denzel Washington's son - was horrible. The guy simply can't act. Some of it was so amateurish. Overacting. Incredibly bad...and he's the star of the film. That means trouble.

Having said that, Adam Driver was fantastic in the film. But still, the film couldn't be helped by any performance. Bad film.

It's a great film, GT, hope you enjoy it.

I'm cracking on with that Jack Ryan show I mentioned a few posts back and I'm quite surprised about how much of it is focussed on the Muslim people as opposed to just another 'white hero putting down the evil brown-skinned folks' show... again, it's worth a punt if you haven't seen it yet.

Three Billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri- There is not one happy character storyline throughout the entire film. Its content is very bleak and dark. And yet each character has a depth of goodness inside, amongst all the crap life throws at them. Wonderful, wonderful film.
