Hmm... this was supposed to be a big Summer Blockbuster movie, out in cinemas, but it got dumped on Netflix with no warning... I would give it a miss, but, Pol, we share tastes in film and TV so I'll give it a punt.

Yeah it's pretty decent, seen a lot worse for sure . Nice wee cameo appearance from the original shaft . Not many good films around on decent hd quality.

England brides maids again,they certainly added to their downfall against a pretty decent USA team on the night.USA were the better team but some of Englands passing was sloppy to say the least and a missed penalty did'nt help,before VAR their other goal would have probably been allowed (wrongly) it was offside.I was'nt going to respond to Spacewinds comments,but as my Mother used to say ''Pride Before A Fall''....i have had one eye on Holland through this tournament,who knows....

I thought the girls put a good effort in and didn't give up. The everlasting England penalty curse still around. But, at the end of the day with some of the passing they were doing and not being able to score penalties means your not going to win.
   
Having just spent the weekend in Amsterdam I hope the Dutch do well tonight and take the cup on Sunday.

'Brightburn' is a pretty decent horror flick if you're in the mood for such a thing... you know the Superman origin story (he was a baby, sent from an alien planet, his pod crashed on Earth and he was adopted by a couple on a farm and he grew up to be Superman)... well, same story, but the kid is basically evil.

I'd usually post a trailer but the only ones I can find are so full of spoilers... if it sounds like your cup of tea, best go into this one cold.  Well made, well acted and the visuals are pretty impressive seeing as how low the budget was.  And it's a nice, brief 90 minute film!  I'd recommend it...

Pretty decent? Come on, be honest. England's coach - some old soccer player named Neville - said it best. He wants his English team to strive to be like the American team. He said team USA has an intense drive to win. Everything they do on the field is brimming with a desire to win. And he's right about that. That women's USA soccer team is programmed to win. Been like that for decades now.

English girls were a fine squad. Have a ways to go before they get to the American level. You have to understand that in America soccer is considered a girl's sport. Our young boys are put into baseball, basketball, football leagues and we put out little girls into soccer (or gymnastics). That is why we do so well in women's soccer.

If you understood anything about football,sorry soccer you would realise the comment was about their performance on the night........thats how i judge a team.We all know the USA are the best womens team in the world for reasons you have stated..........but let's see after the final,come on Nederlands...as our Colonial cousins say ''Kick Ass''........... ... ...

Hey, Pol, gave that new Shaft movie a go, yeah you're right, it's no classic but a fun enough watch.  Quite surprised how un-PC it was in places, this from a major Hollywood studio, you'd think they'd be avoiding stuff like that in the current climate!
