Heard from DannySan today, glad to say he is going. Know Master Ray is going and of coarse LCG for the after show.

Anyone else here going ?

Any ideas for a pre-meet pub ?

Yup, I will be there with my bezzie mate Dan (fellow NMA freak, not active on this forum)... I truly can't wait.

Pre-meet?  I know Warrington a bit, but nothing is springing to mind.  There's a Wetherspoons just around the corner if you fancy a cheap pint or two before the gig, The Lounge is two minute away... I'll work on it and get back to you.

Yeah, Shush, there is always a bloody Spoons...    pretty lacking in atmosphere, I know, but always a good bet for a quick cheap pint before you go on somewhere decent... and don't forget, it's always handy to have one of 'em close to your hotel for when you need a large fry-up the next morning... and Spoons do a great large breakfast!

I'd also forgotten about Pauls post on the Aftergig thread, will look at it again, have a look at googlemaps etc... I think I will defer this one to Paul...

Also had thoughts about which Warrington station you'll be getting into, I don't think getting into Warrington Central is such a bad idea... I'll post again tomorrow, had a bit of a boozy night out with old friends, gotta sleep now...

the ones in the other thread remain recommendations

if pushed I'd say that you wont go wrong in porters

the 9 gallon is small and appears to be getting more popular each day - worth a visit but it could be a bit cramped!

M/Ray, I'll look into the train station thing nearer the time, but, I will be going to the digs first to drop off  (remember I have the missus), then go off to meet up, so I will work out where to get off in relation to that.

Don't worry, well be in Warrington plenty early, well in time to make any meet up arranged

Shush... ok, as I said, was looking at the general geography of Warrington and getting in at the Central station isn't too bad... Bank Quay is certainly a bit nearer if you can make it, but Central is ok.  Probably ten minutes difference between the two stations.  It's the other side of the town centre but Warrington ain't a huge place and it's a fairly straight walk through town...the real trick is finding the PremInn, as I said before...

If anyone is coming by car, I have advice about parking if you're interested...

Porters sounds like a good place to go, sir!  Personally, I'd rather have one good place with a whole load of NMA fans than all of us scattering all over the place.  I don't know this particular pub... directions..?

what time are you thinking of on the Friday?

if you are coming from your hotel  -  I think you said yours is the one in the centre - prob a 10/15 min walk

if you head towards the cockhedge centre you wont go far wrong - near a big church.

Cheers Paul... Porters looks like a good place to go.  I see the postcode is WA1 2NN... for anyone coming into Warrington, dependant on where you're staying or where you're coming from, might be an idea to check it out on the whole Googlemaps thing..?

I'm staying at the Premier Inn at 1430 Centre Park, Park Boulevard, Warrington... I think it's called Warrington Central.  The one at the end of some big industrial park?  I know certain other regular posters are doing the same.

Whatever, we've got just over a week to sort out the details... this may change, but I'm hoping to get into Warrington for about 2.30pm, check into the hotel, chill out for a bit and then see what Warrington has to offer on a Friday night...

I'm going, also doing Holmfith the night before but travelling home afterwardsso won't be doing the aftershow do.
I  reckon I'll be home about 2 am and then have to get a train from Doncaster to Glasgow at 6:10 am.

I'll be getting a few zzzzz's on the journey I reckon
