The 'All Consuming Fire' remix competition. 2008
« on: April 14, 2014, 07:44:43 PM »
Some of will recall the remix competition held in 2008 for the song 'All Consuming Fire'. I myself only discovered it by accident after the fact, but did manage to save a few of the versions submitted.

I would like to know a few things about this competition, namely:

How many mixes were submitted?
Of the number submitted, were any short-listed for consideration? ie a Top 10 or similar.
Which remix won the competition? and
Does anyone have the remix stems?

Hi,

I didn't know about this either and as a bit of a dance head and pretend DJ I'm always on the look out for remixes from the band.
The version I have is remixed by Ben Fraser and Greg Zogg but appears to be from a 2010 compilation called 'Planet Zogg' so don't know if it was entered into the competition or not.

It appears that the duo have remixed a few tracks including TIAGD.
I am currently researching the links between NMA and the dance scene going back to the criminal justice bill protests etc in the 90s. If anyone has any remixes I would be interested in hearing them. By the way the Redanka remix of 7 times is excellent!
