Any BDAW live album news yet?
« on: April 16, 2014, 07:25:44 PM »
As per question 34, was delighted to hear this tour will result in a live album.

I really think some of the tracks are better live than on the album, particularly Horsemen which takes on much energy when live.

Does anyone have any news on this yet. ?

Have any tracks been selected yet from the first leg of the tour last year, or will the full selection be made when the second part of the tour is complete.

Anyone any idea of a release date?

I want to hear the extended ending to Lean Back and Fall again - the album version just seems tame in comparison.

Agreed.  Loved the album, but the live versions took it to a new level.

Seem to recall Mr S saying in an interview that by the end of a tour the songs have become different animals to the studio versions. So I reckon the live album will be put together after the end of the October dates by which time the "mutated" versions will be fully formed (Plus I'm staying hopeful that Qasr El Nil Bridge will get an airing but I suspect there's too many layers in that for a live play). With Mr D out of action for the upcoming string of dates I doubt whether there'll be any imminent recording.
