Ok, so this is a bit relevant here.  I run - a bit.  I'm shite.  I run really badly, quite often.  Tonight I ran 6 miles. It was 6 miles of sheer hell and took a long, long time.  I hated every ******* minute of it.  There.  That's what pisses me off. But on the flip side, I've done it.  I've now forgotten why this is relevant.  Maybe it's doing something that doesn't cost 136,000...? Not sure I recommend it tho;-)

Many people do things that I would not, but I don't hate them for it if it is fairly harmless. Interesting observation.

Personally i have a beef with my brother that transcends a car and the money. Possibly that clouded my earlier post. I do agree with you Idopas, he has worked hard and fair play to him.

I do however completely agree with Master Ray, every time i see a Ferrari i think '******'. You could argue that i am completely out of order but that is just what i think........sorry Ferrari owners!!

Touche, sir.  It's a personal thing of mine that I just find flashy displays of wealth to be rather tasteless, a big 'look at me, peasants' kind of thing.  It doesn't help that I do not understand the appeal of cars. Haven't owned one in the best part of a decade...

I don't begrudge anyone making their money if they've worked hard for it.  Good luck to them.  But an awful lot of people who have a lot of money have done it through connections, family or otherwise, that most of us never had, no matter how hard we worked.  'It's who you know', etc.

That's 'some' people, BTW.  Again, respect to those who dragged themselves up from nowhere...

hmmm, I think the thing is, I can admire the quality and craftsmanship of a top end car as well as anyone else. Thing is with super cars like Ferrari etc, they are made to be able to wiz round a tract at 180, 0-60 in whatever, yet most of the Ferrari in the UK I would wager are doing 8 mph at best round the solid congested streets of London. As such the wealthy driver would have been more sensible buying a comfortable saloon, and yes, only drives his muscle car to try and look impressive.
