OK... rearranging your whole weekend around a big meet this afternoon with old friends... that gets fucked off at the last minute when it's too late to arrange new plans with the people you had originally planned to meet...

Yea, I know the feeling. Sometimes it feels like others arrange my time, not me. Then you really have to set the things up your own way, regardless what others think about it. Generic and family's always the worst with this.

OK... really fuming right now.

My new job was supposed to be a temp thing... not an awful job, working with nice people, kinda dull but, heck, it's a job... things are pretty bad in the UK right now....

It's about £600 a month less than I was making when I worked for the NHS, but I was promised that after three / four months I'd get a proper contract with a big raise...

Yup, today I got a big meet with the big boss and, apparently, 'things have changed with the company' and I'm going onto another long term temp contract with the same shit money...

Jeez, I'm really struggling for money right now, was relying on that big raise, now I gotta keep on scrabbling around for spare cash?

The fact that someone thinks everything is okay in the world simply because the UK doesn't have very amny car accidents and deaths by terrorism. That somehow makes it okay that people are being tortured and murdered elsewhere.

I do not think that is fair. Idopas chose to put a positive spin on a negative topic. What's wrong with that. Get as sad or as angry as you like with the state of the World,  its not going to change it either way. He did not say everything was OK in the world for him as long as things remained safe in the UK. You are putting words in his mouth that do not belong there.

new one... today I was waiting for the traffic lights to change at the junction at the end of my street... some girl, about 12, glued to her smartphone, walks out in front of a speeding car about to turn into our street, utterly oblivious... just in time, I grab her shoulder and pull her back, literally a second before she would have been run over... said 'Woah, careful there, luv...'

Good old me, eh?  Nice guy and all.  What did I get in return..?

'FOOK OFF!  FOOKIN' ****!  FOOKING DON'T TOUCH ME!  FOOKING ****!' (I think you can fill in the ***'s...)   ::)

Two questions... is it wrong of me that I wish that I hadn't have bothered?  And when the hell did parents in this country stop teaching their kids some ******* MANNERS?
