A band who could have been huge (saw 'em supporting The Manics) but for the fact that the singer allegedly punched an NME journalist and thus killed their career... gonna find a link to their fantastic album BAD KARMA for you lovely lot to enjoy... singer Matty died a few years ago...

Here's something that sounded like nothing else I'd heard up to that point in the early 80s.
Daft lyrics and vocals which can only be described as an acquired taste ! Some fantastic twin guitar riffing though, and I think these guys were quite influential in that respect with this kind of music. It's a long track this one, but stick with it as it keeps changing.

Now, I can't remember if I saw POWER OF DREAMS supporting NMA or The Levellers, but this a terrific tune from the early 90's... anyone clue me in on this one?  Here's 'There I Go Again' (and the album it came from is also terrific, check it out if you like this song...)
