Quite a post that Amandistan. Certainly it's forthright open and honest. It's a clearly expressed viewpoint that doesn't have a short snappy answer. But you've asked for views. Trouble is, I've got 2 and the jury is still out on which one I'll eventually stand with. It's also quite a big question! If this makes it to the board then for better or worse I think it will be my wordiest ever. I don't know if a noticeboard is the right place for this amount of shite - probably not.

I don't know you or your story. I don't know what led you to your viewpoint. Inevitably then this is a detached, clinical, kinda response coloured by my own life story.
“I like certain individual people but as a whole I can not stand human beings” – I'm 45 and would consider myself reasonably travelled, met a reasonably average number of people from different places and cultures, worked on construction sites for 15 years. Met a lot of different people. Given the size of the worlds population though I'd have to have meet around 4 billion before I felt able to state that. There's a lot of people out there worthy of not standing but they are far outweighed by those that are.
“Anyone who is seen as the slightest bit weaker is subjected to a life of abuse, torment, and isolation” – If you'd said this:
…..... slightest bit weaker is more at risk of being subjected to …...
Then you would have a point. I'm proudly one of the “weaker” ones and for every person who's given me abuse, torment and isolation there is another who has given love, support and inclusion. Don't underestimate the kindness in others.
“all due to the majority of people's need to show dominance and have control” – Part of the nature of a pack animal surely? It may be one of the driving forces of Evolution. Usually balanced by other essential pack needs but in the world I live in I don't think we're in balance.
“Weaker can simply mean being shy, suffering from any illness(physical or mental) ,being weird, highly sensitive or actually caring too much about others” – True, alongside a myriad other “weaknesses”
“humans see themselves as superior to all other species” – We are. Our mistake is to equate that with importance. As far as the Earth we live on is concerned we're no more important than any other part of the ecosphere.
All humans are flawed. No human is completely good or completely evil. Culture, ethnicity, religion etc. does not matter – True.
So whilst you make some valid points that I would agree with I think you illustrate a minority of the people in the world. There's billions of other people who are not like that. who still have care and consideration for others. There is a wider narrative. Beyond your local environs there are countless others leading countless lives in countless ways, some good some bad. Dig below the headlines of the information overload and you will find example after example of people helping each other, supporting each other and generally being guided by the principle of Be Excellent To Each Other. Take this board for example as an atom sized representation – threads appear every few months or so from someone doing something for others and asking for support. That goes on everywhere, all the time. I think you will find that there are more people who are not as you describe than people who are.

Yep, that pretty much sums up far too many of the people that seem to inhabit the world we live in. I reckon you're a bit ahead of your time though, maybe 10-20 years too soon. But we're on the way and we're on the way fast. We're losing something, some sort of invisible social glue that holds everything together. From where I stand I'd say from the end of the late 70's the explosion in neoliberalism has meant the speed of that loss has hit warp drive. Manners, respect, courtesy, decency, care and consideration increasingly become more and more worthless, less and less valued and ever more uncommon. The worst thing is that this is increasingly seen as a good thing. Being a ruthless fucker is admired as a worthy aspiration. Things are fucked man. People seem happy to be a bunch of *****.
Logically how do people respond in the face of that? You can't piss in the wind. It's swim or drown in the tide. Ultimately there is no choice, it would appear it has to be me and mine before you and sod the consequences to anyone else.
