Cooking. I love it.. and the eating. I run the "Let's get cooking" club at school which encourages parents to come along to. We cook cheap/healthy meals in less that an hour and show just what you can do in a limited time on a limited budget. The kids learn about a balanced diet and are encouraged to try everything and most discover they like a lot more than they thought. He's one for you...we had a mum and kid last term who made a fuss about every ingredient we used (bah, hate that...never had it..urgh what is that etc..). Mum didn't know what a parsnip, courgette, swede, butternut squash, chick peas or kidney beans were and said all her boy would eat was bacon sandwiches. He piped up "That's coz it's the only thing you make me".

It's the most popular club at school and we have been begged by kids from the Juniors to run the club for them too.
Away from school I love my garden and grow fruit, veg and flowers. I've had an amazing crop of plums this year and my little tree has suffered with bowing and snapping branches.
I love to decorate. I've glossed the window sills and doors this weekend because I have the house to myself. I'm having a cup of tea now as a break from painting the kitchen cupboards just to spruce them up a bit.
Sewing. On Friday I bought a £2.50 quilt cover from a charity shop and turned it into 2 pairs of curtains and tie backs for the kitchen.
Yesterday I made a new Jolly Rodger flag to fly on my car aerial.
I'm also doing a cross stitch to put up in school. It's the words of "All things bright and beautiful" with pictures of animals and flowers around the outside.
Animals. I love my 2 black cats. Jet and Ebony. I have tropical fish ( 2 tanks) and a pond with frogs, snails, dragon flies and fish in it.
If I'm not doing any of that stuff I always have a book on the go .
I quite like the New Model Army too.
