I am sorry, Amandistan, if my post sounded that you´d have to starve for a few days - I intended the opposite, actually. You´ll find for instance ready-made salads with pasta or bulgur or such in the supermarkets for round 60 SEK. Personally, I buy my food for the whole week for around 300 SEK, which are round 33 €.
So, food is really not the most expensive part here in Sweden. Just don´t bring your car to a garage or ask the vet to attend to your animal after 17h (or such). Some stuff is even cheaper to buy here than in Middle Europe - used cars, for instance.
