Why doesn't this forum have avatars or profile pics?

I have been in many online forums such as this and they all allow profile pics that can be seen whenever a member posts.   

I  was wondering why this forum does not  have that?

It would be cool to see what people pick as a profile pic.
I don't know anything about forum software but i guess it could prevent the profile pic option.

Either way it's still the coolest forum and beats  FB fan forums by a mile.

and i think the risk can be that people use it to display something offensive which wouldn't be in keeping with the family way more or less


i know my avatar was fairly middle of the road so its not my fault.....

I think that it is a fair response.  I'm active on a whole bunch of Internet forums and the amount of spambots that post utter bullshit is SO annoying and possibly damaging to your computer if you accidentally click on a bad link...

If you want to see what my avatar / personal picture would look like, think of an incredibly handsome man who is cool as ****...
