B Sides And Abandoned Tracks...
« on: October 03, 2014, 10:52:19 PM »
... probably one of NMA'S finest ever releases, every track a classic, yet nowadays it's so hard to get hold of!  I used to own it, but in my usual idiocy, I lent it to someone who disappeared with it...   >:(  >:(  >:(

Prices are very high if you want to get hold of it nowadays... anyone know why it's been deleted from the usual outlets?

 ???

I still have mine that I bought second hand in Scorpion Records in High Wycombe when I was a student.  I agree that it's a classic - it was my first NMA album and has a very special place in my heart.

I agree that it's a wonderful compilation so many great tracks on it: "Drummy B", "Marry the sea", "Prison", "Modern times", "Brave New world 2", "Courage", "No sense", etc!
The Robert Heaton years, wow!!! ;) 8)

Ok I've been inspired by this thread to stick on my copy.
Special mention to
Heroin 12" mix , adrenaline, trust, brave new world 2, ten commandments, lights go out, prison, curse, modern times

Still got the logo t shirt with fossils on back of cd It has dead men don't bite written on the back Its now no longer wearable and has long since been retired and framed and hangs on my bedroom wall.

I think we need a proper hardcore push on the NMA inner circle to get some classic T-shirts re-printed... I think I've said this before...  ???

Yes my favourite red and white Celtic dogs is getting well faded and cracked. Still going strong after 23 years though.

Some sort of "closing" of EMI era recordings?  ???

B Sides & Abandoned Tracks is one of my faves ever.

You were at the Anniversary gigs? There were Courage and some other song(s) too. Adrenalin and/or DrummyB or Modern Times I think so.  :)

Rusco, I could make it to only one of those fantastic gigs... typically, the ones I really wanted to hear were played on the OTHER night...  >:(

Ah, the grass is greener on the other side of fence or, Master Ray?  ;)

Honestly, I can't never remember the setlists so well. I was in Berlin then.

The band (or EMI??) should re-release this great compilation on cd (and vinyl), for its (almost) 30th birthday!! ;)

Indeed... maybe even put a vinyl edition out, since IIRC it was only ever released on CD.
