That would have been okay as an introduction, but I think as an announcement for tommorrow's gig, it's a little bit outdated.
According to the text above, New Model Army were formed "in the late seventies" ("Ende der 70er Jahre") .
According to Wikipedia, New Model Army was formed in 1645 and in 1980.
I wonder how that adds up to "nearly 32 years" ("eine mittlerweile fast 32-jährige Schaffenszeit") though... (And I thought
I was bad at arithmetic...)
