If you do let him back it'll end up another pyrrhic victory for free speech like last time i suspect, i'm up for a good discussion (argument!) of course,but maybe best to keep moving forward not back, i've noticed loads of new people posting these last few months, the board seems healthy, maybe they've got something controversial to say?

Not keen, if I'm honest.  I don't think he added anything.  Well, apart from guitar tracks that were better than NMA's own, of course.

I will chip in my two bobs worth since I was kinda involved in his final post (51st state)
Firstly Anna , Ray and Shush should should be in agreement since they were the people most insulted by him.
I'm happy to go with Viv's decision and if he is allowed, then some kinda short leash probation period.
Gotta add the board seems to be in a healthier place without him

Personally I am in two minds about it.

I like this forum but at times it can go quiet, too quiet. Space certainly did spice things up and get many who seldom post on here anymore involved. As well as some very daft and often offensive comments, there was also some good comedy. Remember Red's album cover "Space Sings" - brilliant  ;D and Red / Brown sauce wars.

if he comes back I feel sure he will be fine for a while, then carry on as before.I do not think he can help it. He needs the attention.  Last time I think things did start to look bad. It made us and the forum look bad which ultimately reflects on the band. As I said back then, at any given time someone could have started to show an interest in the band, search out the web site, then look here for the first time. In that respect it is embarrassing.

Bring him back, don't bring him back, I don't mind either way.

One thing I will say to Space, adding the comment "no offence intended" does not necessarily mean no offence caused  :-\

He did rub most people up the wrong way, me included, but lifes too short, I look back and laugh at alot of the stuff.
Its a new year and I guess everyone deserves a fresh chance.

Yes, personal insults were thrown, despite Space's comment that 'It was all fun and games (I never cursed or abused other members), and looking back some of my posts were pretty darn entertaining. All good fun'... yeah, I remember the utterly vile PM's that were sent to me...   >:(

But I say again, fook it, let's do it.  There was some amusement there, sometimes.  I wouldn't want the guy to grovel for forgiveness or anything like that... I wasn't very nice at times when things got heated.  Neither of us came out of those angry messages covered in glory.  I'd just like to ask Space, if he is allowed back, to respect the whole vibe and ethos of this Forum, ie, TOTAL respect for others and their opinions and not just posting contentious shit to get a reaction.  That too dull for you?  Well, if so, I suspect it won't end well...

So, it's a +1 for letting Space back on here...

I had also been insulted by him just once. I forgave him and did not take the bait any longer.  If people don't respond in the way he wants, then it's not that bad. I recall people insulting him as well.

I have no idea what was done in private though. I do remember people reacting so bad that there were hate posts directed toward him.   I know he baited people but I ignore it after a week. Others can too.

I am always for second  chances but I don't think the members should decide. Especially in public. then it appears to be an angry mob. Non-members can read it. :)
