Different ways to chill out
« on: January 01, 2015, 04:34:04 PM »
So now the new year IS present here.

I and my wife thought to make a fresh start to it and while having a sauna, we thought we wanted to have music and a HOT bath. So we have a bathtub outside and some candles and fire near to the bathtub. It's -1 celsius now and snow everywhere.

You could watch the starry skies, branches of trees, have some wine and listen to the Between Wine and Blood. It's so great feeling, while going from sauna with +85 celsius to cold; and having a hot bath there.  :)

I just shared a photo of it in my Google+ profile.

Well, I'm not at all jealous.  Me?  No, why be envious of that when you have a wet, windy Wales!

Okay, so I'd swap places for a day or two!

That sounds nice. Myself, I am not really able to relax as i can never shut off my brain. But the most at peace I feel is driving on a road into the woods with nobody around. Or hiking with nobody around. I am energized by solitude.
Where I'm from is not my home, and neither's where i'm bound.

I used to like you Rusco but jealousy is an awfully strong emotion  :D

For me it's dog walk - Pull on the Doc Martens and it don't matter what the weather does we can stomp for hours. Space, air and connection to Gaia does wonders for me.

@ Amanda - it's not for everyone and is a commitment but the bond and unconditional love is a massive bit of therapy for your soul. that no amount of counselling or chemicals can beat.  Ain't no cure for anything but it does really help. If not a dog maybe a cat would work in your life.  :-*

Happy to Be Here was a song that fit very well into the situation.

There was a huge water boiling tank (approximately 150 litres) that you can heat with burning wood under the tank. It needed to be heated twice and fullfilled with water once again, that there is water enough for two. And you could mix some cold water to achieve the balance.

I mean the tank was different than the bathtub. (We didn't have fire under the bathtub!) That would be rather a hardcore ways to chill (grill) out. ;D
