Your dream NMA setlist...
« on: January 18, 2015, 08:02:29 PM »
OK, lotta 'list' threads happening nowadays... here's the ultimate one... the NMA boys say 'hey, we're playing at your fave venue and YOU can pick the set list...'    :o

For me, it's this...

Before I Get Old / Wonderful Way To Go (the 'and nobody else' version)...
Wired
Lust For Power
Purity
Bloodsports
Get Me Out
Ballad
Better Than Them
Rainy Night '65
Did You Make It Safe
Poison Street
Vagabonds
125 mph
Too Close To The Sun
One Of The Chosen
I Love The World
Qusr El Nil Bridge
Modern Times
Betcha
Fireworks Night
Vengeance

So... you're allowed 21 songs... doesn't matter what musicians are available... and don't think about it too much, I'm already rethinking my list... do it right off the top of our head!

Can't wait to see what you lot come up with!

Wish I not read this cos I gotta go - Cromwell is well pissed off I've still not taken him out for a walk yet and he ain't the sort of dog you wanna piss off  ;D.

I got one song to hear while I pull me boots on and that's it. Promise to try and not think about this till I got time to sit and give a bit of instant reaction :-*

Hala (from the Anglo-Saxon word "halh", meaning nook or remote valley), until it was gifted by King Henry II to Welsh Prince David Owen and became known as Halas Owen

Gotta say, I'm a bit surprised that there wasn't a bit more traffic on this thread, so I thought I'd reactivate it...

So, to reiterate, you're writing an NMA set list, you've got 21 tunes, regardless of era / musicians available... and... GO!

21 song set list?

The entire "No Rest" album, but replace "The Attack" with "Space."
Then do the whole thing over again, but don't play "Grandmother's Footsteps" this time.
21 songs total. Great stuff.

Ok, so I'm coming back to this... But first of all my dream venue would be Queens Hall, Bradford - sadly now a weather spoons:-(
In the absence of Queens Hall, I'd love to see NMA in The Trades Club, Hebden Bridge.
Set list to follow...
There's a smear of blood red sky between the nighttime and the day

Just had a quick look on SetlistFM and these are the top 21 most played songs according to their stats. This is going to sway more towards older songs for obvious reasons. I know some bands in the past, have had fans vote on what setlist they should play. Would be interesting to see what NMA fans would come up with.

Get Me Out
Green and Grey
No Rest
Here Comes the War
Wonderful Way to Go
51st State
Stupid Questions
Vagabonds
Purity
Poison Street
225
I Love the World
White Coats
The Hunt
High
Vengeance
Over the Wire
Island
Smalltown England
Christian Militia
Today Is a Good Day
We always burned brightest when no one was watching.
