Would it be wrong to suggest that Mr. Shelley's greatest song was not a Buzzcocks song?
"Homosapien" is his finest tune. Man, that song is brilliant.

Pete Shelley. Thanks for all the great music. R.I.P.

Paddy Ashdown. Once had the pleasure of hearing him speak at college. Despite the Pantsdown scandal, he did a lot of good work and I can think of no politicians of his ilk at the moment.

Paddy.
He was a good bloke and did good things for people in Dorset back in the day. I voted for him a few times.

Sad to see him go.

Sad to see HMV in admin (again) but if they take FOPP down with them I'll be truly gutted... never visited a FOPP store without leaving with a cracking good bargain or two...  :-\

A store connected with HMV that sells off the stuff that HMV can't rid of.  Branches in London, Manchester, Glasgow, Cambridge, Nottingham, Bristol and a couple of other places that I can't remember.  They sell great stuff cheap as chips (I've filled a carrier bag with brand new cds, dvd's, Blu Rays, t-shirts and books for thirty or forty quid) and have great staff.

Find thyself a branch of FOPP and indulge... whilst they're still going!   ;)

Sad indeed, but I'm afraid fits into the category of news that, when I heard it, made me think 'er, they were still alive..?'   :-[

As an opposite to that, I saw a news story a couple of weeks ago about Meghan Markle (otherwise known as 'Duchess Of Somefuckinplaceorother) meeting old TV star Richard O Sullivan at a nursing home for actors... I was SURE he died a couple of years back!
