A sad one for me - Paddy Moloney - Founder member of The Chieftains. Started my journey into the world of folk and traditional music. My favourite record, even before I could speak was their album "4". We had no TV when I was young, but mum used to play records. Some I hated (Beatrix Potter,  Pam Ayres - weirdly). Some I was indifferent to (Mozart). Some I liked (Beethoven, Lindisfarne). But the Chieftains I LOVED.

Just read that Graeme Edge of the Moody Blues has passed. I learned about them in my High School Years that was some  serious Head music putting on the Headphones smoking some herb and listening to those soaring harmonics of the music taking you to different  realities.  Just some good times and really great albums . RIP . :(

He was a great musician and songwriter listened to a tribute to him last night on the wireless, the guy said his career probably suffered by being in The Monkees (not taken seriously)....also Peter Tork ,saw him and his band a few years ago he/they were brilliant did'nt play one song from ''That Band''as he constantly referred to them as......R.I.P.Mr.Nesmith...
