This is now beyond utterly ridiculous.

There are threads for stupidity and there are threads for talking about what we are all here for.

This thread is about the new release. Seeing as a Harpist is credited on a number of studio tracks, that another thread on this very board has discussed the live performance including harp. It seems natural to me that an individual might make the logical connection that the Live cd & dvd might feature the ******* harp - hardly a spoiler. The only other spoilers could be that my dog doesn't like my dancing, that I drive too fast with loud music on or that I've probably pissed my neighbours off today. If any of that spoils someone's enjoyment of a new cd then it says more about them than me.

I posted my first thoughts in a thread about a new release from the guys who have the courtesy to offer this space for us to talk. I thought that was what we were supposed to do. Engage in conversation about the band. You know to get of a a communal discussion about our enjoyment going on.

Instead we are in Wetherspoons again. Space - keep your bullshit nonsense in your own threads where we all know what we're stepping into. Stop posting your crusty infected jizm in places where it doesn't belong.

Darth Vader is Luke Skywalkers dad.  Bruce Willis is a ghost.  Rosebud is a sledge.

 ;)

Dammit ! I've never seen a movie in my life, was going to start next week to catch up, now it's pointless !

No need to see a movie anymore folks, just read Master Ray's post  :'(

[edit] to stay on topic, hard to hide this order to the wife now, hope post office will deliver France soon !

Anna, please calm down. No need at all to get angry over this. It is the members here whose new NMA CD is now spoiled that should be angry, but we are dealing with this unfortunate situation as best we can. All you had to do was post SPOILER ALERT at the start of your post about the new CD and none of this mess would have happened.

You have to remember that not all of us live on the same street as you -- we have not yet recieved our new CD package. By posting details about the new package you have spoiled things for us. In the grand scheme of things your spoiling the new CD is not going to start a world war, but, nonetheless, it was not a right thing to do. Just in future please put SPOILER ALERT on your posts when talking about new NMA material.

Sorry Space, just to confirm... you've NEVER bought a CD without looking at the track listing first?

Or is this just another one of your, ahem, 'jokes'....

do you really want to know?

please just down fall for the provokations. that's all was space is about. he is provoking responses and nobody should feel personally attacked. sometimes its even fun to read what he is posting. he is hiding behing irony and mixing clever statements with nonsense. it should not get anyone angry. if you don't like his post don't reply. if you reply, wait for the answer. but don't get eomotionally involved. i have anna in mind, her reaction was a bit overdone but understandable. but it gave more fodder for space.
i wouldn't say he should stop posting as long there are no direct insults. he is displaying himself as a hard man (or woman) with strong opinions but most of this is just hiding behind words. words are just some place to hide...

as for the spoiler thing:
What’s in the box?
3 audio CDs – All the songs from the main two sets in the order that we played them plus some of the encores – 31 songs in all – more than two and a half hours of music. We thought it right to keep the order of the set lists the same. We have taken ‘the best’ versions of each song from different gigs (all five – London, Nottingham, Paris, Koln and Amsterdam are represented) so you can hear the natural ambience of the rooms and sizes of audience change but it actually seems to enhance listening by changing the sonics every now and then. When it comes to the DVD, there was no professional multi-camera shoot done but there were a couple of static cameras plus footage sent to us by other people who filmed the shows. From this, Dean has spent several days editing together a 90 minute bonus DVD – which gives some idea of the visuals for people that couldn’t come.

What about the packaging and vinyl?
It comes as a four disc digi-pack with some wonderful photographs from the shows. That’s it. Sadly, to put it on high quality vinyl would mean 4 discs and so is financially unrealistic.

so anna wrote there's a picture of marshall. what a surprise and what a spoiler!
space then speaks as for the rest of nma fans and that's pure nonsense and bs, you just can't take that seriously, but a good way to get some people emotionally and involved.

it's your (all) choice how to deal with it and not space.

i looking so forward to get this package and listen to the soundmix and the video.
and i'm sure the impurity/purity thing is what was stated here before:
in cologne they had to redo purity because of some mistake by someone on stage.
i won't spoiler this though
 :P

Back on topic of the CD, when I rip to Media Player to transfer to mp3 player I get track 1, track 2 track 3 etc. which is what then appears on the mp3 display. Can I do anything about this to get actual track names or do I have to live with it? Great CDs by the way,am I giving too much away by saying that?

you could rename the tracks manually !?! some programs allow you to rename the data before ripping.

you could try this software:
http://www.mp3tag.de/en/

it says it also compatible to import names from databases but since the album is brand new it may not show just now.

Just wait for someone to import that in iTunes (or another similar SW) and send the informations to the database, then you will be able to import all the songs properly named. OR, you could do it yourself then send the info for other that will receive the CDs later :)

NMA twitter page - retweet thing from a guest musician and he's right: it is a lovely picture.

Looking forward to educating the Kent countryside in the joys of NMA live whilst driving to Archery in a while.
