Magic Bus Tour 2015 - anybody interested?

thought I'd re-post the final details here:-

I can confirm that the European Magic Bus Tour is now confirmed open

The details are:-

• £430 for 6 nights from Mainz to Heidelberg
• Single person supplement is £19
• You get your own gig tickets
• Rendezvous would be either at the airport (see below) or the first gig

I had a look at the Ryanair site and flights are currently £40 return Stanstead to Hahn. This is how I will be travelling and sorting out the Bus and I am happy for you to tag along.

All I need from you is to PM me your name, email, and phone details and we will contact you to do the rest.

I am considering doing one of these again and wanted to gauge the interest out there as they are such good fun and it is a good way to bring people together who perhaps would not have met otherwise. It is open to everyone and especially to those who maybe feel shy or don't know anyone to go travelling with or just need that final push.

What I have in mind is to do a European tour and then a UK tour, for both you'd need to make your own way to the first gig and back from the last, you'd have to buy your own gig tickets too. We would take care of all the travel and accommodation in between. As with previous tours, prices would be based on sharing with a single suppliment applicable. You would be able to pay in instalments if required.

Here is a linky with pictures to other tours we've been done, it's a public group and I think it should be accessible to all, if you have a problem send a request and I'll add you.

Give me a couple of weeks to get some prices and then I can sort out a package. What I would like to request from you at this stage is some feedback, suggestions, and any questions you may have. Hopefully there is sufficient interest out there in order to make this happen.

I am possibly interested. I am doing the tour but the only problem is i can sleep anywhere for one nights. I am sleeping in hostels and somehow i don't think that others are so comfortable with more primitive accommodations. 

I would like to go on the bus though. I really would like to do this but don't know if the wallet would especially since hotels penalize solo travelers.

thanks for your reply the prices would be for sharing and we do try hard to make it as cheap as possible without using flea pits, we do have standards you know . Not wanting to come over all hard sales pitch, what we offer is convenience and door to door between gigs; look on it another way, it is  somewhere to sit with your hangover, make new friends, or chat with old, whilst we transport you to your next gig.

As someone on the last bus tour, i can say that it is a wonderful experience. In 2013,  it was a nice group of people.
I saw historical sites, was introduced to good indian and Chinese food. I ran after wild cows and had many laughs.

I recommend that if you can do it, you should!
I will try my very best to do it again.

Hello, just a quick update, I have got the Germany and Swiss hotel prices sorted, just now looking at bus options. Am also looking at UK hotels which are not so quick to come back.

Hello, sorry for the delay, a short update.

Things have been very busy work wise and also it is peak season so responses have been not as quick as hoped. I have a couple of things still to resolve work-wise but I now know the price and itinerary for the European leg which I’ll post below.

It’s going to be about £430 for 6 nights accommodation and travel with a single room supplement of £19 per night. The meet would be at the first gig in Mainz and end point would be returning the bus at Frankfurt airport so a lift there would be possible.

Like I said I’ve still got a couple of things to sort out in the next couple of days but I don’t think it is going to change much.

 The experience in 2013 was fantastic. Good hotels, good bus... no so good people....
