Chester pre gig
« on: July 30, 2015, 10:25:39 PM »
I can thoroughly recommend The Kash Bar which is just around the corner from The Live Rooms venue. That's if you like a quirky, real ale pub with great food (burgers are a specialty)
If you get down to Bridge Street in the city centre (only 10 mins from the venue) get to The Brewery Tap. Great selection of beers.
It's a mean old scene.

You a fellow Cheshire fella, Knutty?

Don't know the pub you mentioned, and I've been to Chester a thousand times... glad someone knows a better pub than the Town Cryer, just over the road from the train station and such a crap pub...

Hope to see you there!
... but at what point does it stop being CPR and start being like trying to reanimate a corpse?

I am Master Ray, Knutsford but from Sandbach.
The Kash Bar is on Brook street past the venue and just around the corner, about 3 mins walk. Yes The Town Crier is a bit grim.
Yep, see you there!
It's a mean old scene.

Ha!  Just a few miles away from you... in fact, there's quite a few Forum folks from the Cheshire area... seems to be quite the hotbed of NMA activity!

Sandbach has one thing going for it... it isn't Crewe.   :)

Sounds like the makings of a good pre-gig meet!

So, looks like a bunch of fellow Forum folks are going to Chester... Kash Bar seems the obvious choice... how will we recognise each other?  Should we put up a flag or something?   ;)

Agreed, mate, I was thinking about recognising fellow Forum folks...

OK, I'll go first.  My good friend Shush recognised me for the first time (after much Forum laughs and posts) when I said 'Look for someone who looks a little bit like Morrissey'...  ;)

So, I'll be the six-foot, short-greying-haired, slightly-like-Morrissey guy with me best mate Dan, whose long-haired and about five foot six...

How do I recognise you guys?  Be nice to shake some hands!  Should we have some kind of secret code word?  ;D

I'm over-thinking this...
