Is hitchhiking accepted in Switzerland?
« on: August 15, 2015, 04:22:57 PM »
I am doing the Swiss dates. I found someone to room with to save money but it's still ridiculously expensive as opposed to Ukraine or something.

I was wondering if hitchhiking was common?

I have a feeling it is not because in a lot of wealthy countries it' doesn't work and people aren't so generous with sharing their cars. As opposed to Romania where "thumbs up" is the standard.
Where I'm from is not my home, and neither's where i'm bound.

my colleague from swiss just said its accepted but not that common so maybe you have to wait longer or have some curious stares to deal with
ever tried. ever failed. no matter.
try again. fail again. fail better.
