Of Monsters an Men
« on: August 19, 2015, 07:28:48 PM »
I just want to tell you about a phenomena.

A band crashed  into my live a view weeks ago. Their music has nothing to do with NMA, but this doesn't matter.
Its a band from Iceland an i can't stop listening an watching them.

Yes, often I find new bands and I hear to them very much a view days or weeks. But this time it is different. I downright felt in love with all the band members and their music and their appearence on stage. Yes, this girl ist definetly gorgeous, but this is not the point. I'm not as impressible. The songwriters are very very good and all band members and touring members turns or implement it very good.

I'm infected and I wonder if there is anybody out there who knows what feeling I'm talking about or if there is someone out there, who can follow me ;D :D

Look here:

A simple but funny video

and there

f*** gorgeos

and there  two full sets
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EAvdqKu-6cI  (Australia)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4aNgR-EzZzk  (Germany)

The fact alone, that I have the neccesity to share this with you tells you that I seem to be off my head. :D ;D

Nice one  :)

Yes - know the feeling you are talking about.

Enjoying those links and the youtube suggestions while I'm cooking dinner.Especially a track called Silhouettes

Puts me in mind of Low/First Aid Kit.

Being off your head can only be a good thing  ;D

Liking that!  Must investigate further...

Have they ever toured the UK?  Because I seem to remember, a couple of years back, someone mentioned this band (or one with a name quite like it) and had a spare ticket that they offered to me, but I couldn't make it...  :(

Yes, Silhouettes is a beautiful song. I'm happy about that there are people out there in this most important forum ;).

I like this two songwriters, the corpulent guy and the girl (they seem to be the heart of the band) and for german ears this icelandic accent in their english speaking is gorgeous and funny. They seem to be very down-to-earth, if you know what I mean.

This character is also eye-catching if you watch this. A nerved moderator is self-displaying his radiostation in the US with having OMAM in his own show and always disturbs the gig. You can see that the band is no amused an they don't really know how to cope with this situation.

By the way: I claim to be the biggest NMA fan in Franconia. ;D  It is the northern part of Bavaria in Germany
and since more than 200 years we always had autonomy efforts as a German federal land in Germany apart from Bavaria. No success :( ;D. Anyway I invade into Bavaria for NMA again and again. Since the early ninetees I missed no NMA-concert or JS&friends that took place in Bavaria (Munich, Erlangen, Nuremberg, ...).

'Dirty Paws' got a lot of radio play here in New Zealand about a year ago.

I thought they were better known in Europe.

I like them.
