Mission of Burma

Had another go at Gnoosic again recently and mostly wayward suggestions, did 'discover' Fliehende Sturme thru it a while back and I really like them, this time it threw up a Boston band from late 70s thru early 80s so first wave punk called Mission of Burma who'd totally passed me by back in the day, and they shouldn't hv as they influenced many bands I love inc Pixies.

So been busy acquiring the back catalogue which ain't large on eBay and Amazon. Anyone else out there in what's left of our wonderful forum land who's been similarly moved? More garage than NMA and more in common with the likes of Gang of Four, but good nevertheless and back in the day they were so f***in loud they packed up cos the singer got tinnitus - now that's suffering for your art. Be interested if any other Army folk like em.
Clever monkeys with technology, barely outta the caves and trees, it's all vanity - and ch@os rules it all!

I think the "Signals, Calls and Marches" album is brilliant. I think it was released in early 80s so it was ahead of my time but it sounds great regardless of that.
I do not know much about the other albums as that is the only one in my music collection.
Where I'm from is not my home, and neither's where i'm bound.
