Thanks to all those I met on such an amazing trip for me. After years of wanting to do it, I flew by myself from Wisconsin to England, got a tattoo from Joolz in Bradford, met great people, some new, some I'd conversed with about the band for some 20 years, 2 amazing shows in London and Nottingham, and fit in Stonehenge on my last day as well. (had about 30 minutes between my bus to London from Notts before boarding bus to Stonehenge, well timed!)

After getting a live recording of the 1987 Rock City FM broadcast in 1988, I had long vowed to make the trip overseas to a Xmas show but never could make the timing and finances work but I somehow found a way this year. Around 9842+ miles of travel or so (when factoring in planes, train rides and bus trips), an average of 3-4 hours of sleep a day but I really packed in quite the trip, met tons of great people and somehow survived to tell about it back home.

Huge should out to Patrice and Francois, my new French friends who let me hang out with them so much over Friday and Saturday including the company on the bus ride to Nottingham. Definitely one of the things that made my trip so much better, thanks guys!

Pouring over pictures and video clips and such reliving such a fantastic adventure. Hopefully there is a way I can repeat it again someday!

Cheers,
Todd

It was also great to meet you, Sir!  Glad your trip lived up to expectations.  We're not a bad little country, are we?   ;)

Looking forward to a great many posts from yourself...

Also, I can't believe I didn't mention it, but my Dad grew up in Wisconsin, honestly!  Moved over to the UK when he was about ten years old so you wouldn't believe he grew up as an American if you met him... I can't remember the town he grew up in.  Never met any of my family over there, perhaps I should investigate it if my money situation allows it?  Does Wisconsin have any great live music venues as cool as Rock City and an aftershow place as great as Spanky's?   :D

Glad you liked Stonehenge as well... I must check it out one day!

Again, nice meeting you and hopefully we'll do it again next year... c'mon, can't you sell a kidney or something..?

 ;)

Rah! Rah! Rah! We're going to smash the oiks!

Hello Todd

I was introduced to you later on in the night by Matt (ruckedout), although to be honest I was worse for the wear of drink by then.

Congrats on making the trip over. I admire dedication like that. I didn't do the London gig, but if it was anything like as good as Nottingham, it was worth your while  ;)

Hope you can do it again in the future

Cool!
You should come back this year!
You will see it's slightly addictive but the healthy sort of addiction.  :)

I've already said this to you Todd a dozen of times, but I spent a fantastic week-end and was really happy to meet you.
as someone else said, you have to find a way to earn money to come back !!! maybe more private gigs to do  ;D

Hope to see you again,
cheers
