Regarding Saab cars I saw once an investigation about their speed. There was compared their maximum speed of all the different Saab models. Not a wonder Saab used to be one of the classic cop cars.

Had a Saab once - picked it up from a Farmer for £90 after my car died in front of his field gate. Twas a brilliant motor.

None yet. Cant afford one. But dying to get out. As some will know I only passed my test in November. Went out for a couple of hours with my old instructor today and loved it
Hala (from the Anglo-Saxon word "halh", meaning nook or remote valley), until it was gifted by King Henry II to Welsh Prince David Owen and became known as Halas Owen

Vauxhall Astra. 2 NMA stickers in the back window. Passed today on the M5 Northbound by a Vauxhall Corsa with NMA sticker on the back. Nice to have 'speedily' met you.  ;D

A 1992 Suzuki Vitara. 350.000 kms on the clock and still going strong. I don't know anyone here who doesn't own a car. There is no public transport in rural New Zealand and it's 5km to the nearest shop, 30km to the nearest supermarket and 70km to the nearest proper town. The roads are steep and windy so cycling is hard going and bloody dangerous.

I used to have a Vauxhall Astra. It was a great car and never let me down. I sold it a couple of years ago to my mate who needed it much more than I did. I've never driven since and have realised that I just don't actually need a car. I live in the city so I am okay. I'm sure if I lived somewhere that wasn't as well served by public transport I would think differently.

All the best,
Johnny

I never bothered to get my driving licence at 17.

At 45 why should I now?

It has not limited me in any way, I have travelled the world, and, I intend to keep doing so.

I would go far as to say that a driving licence may inhibit travel. As you have been taught how to be lazy.

Thanks
