Devil, Die Trying and in contrast to others Beginning. Winter is growing after a listening on my headphones.
Hala (from the Anglo-Saxon word "halh", meaning nook or remote valley), until it was gifted by King Henry II to Welsh Prince David Owen and became known as Halas Owen

Eyes get used to the Darkness is my favourite at the moment but there are quite a few that I really like and it will probably keep changing.

I think I'm gonna reserve any further opinion as to my favourite tracks until the live dates, when I'm hoping that a good big chunk of this excellent new album is presented to us in a live environment...

So many tracks on previous albums have sounded good to me on the CD... but I truly grew to love them after hearing them live.  'Knieval', for example...

I think Die Trying sounded better live. Not that its bad on the album. Just better raw.

My most favorite from the new album will be propably: Burn The Castle, Eyes Get Used to the Darkness, Drifts, Devil. Probably it will change after few listenings.

Beginning, followed by Die Trying and Devil

however, I imagine this will change over time. It usually does!

wow, I am surprised to see I am not alone in this...Burn the Castle will be awesome to experience live; Born Feral is my personal fav...and I really like Strogoula...but what a nice album from start to finish; After Something is so gentle and is well placed to make this album feel complete.

Beginning is a grower! Agreed  ;)

Here's an acoustic version back from 2014:

I totally love this version in all its understated beauty and I was really hoping for it to be included on Winter in this stripped down form, kinda like 'These Words'. It took a bit to accept the much heavier album version but I love them both now.
