Eyes get used to the Darkness and Winter are vying for attention going round my head. And like Shush I like After Something. But for me Beginning is still the stand out track. It's like an Enormous slab of sound and emotion. Reminds me of Carlisle Road (another fave of mine) in a strange way.

Definitely Die Trying:)
I was listening to the album the evening when I got my hands on it and thought, yeah! GOOD ALBUM. And then Die Trying startet and I went back and listened to it again and again... at the end of the evening I had played it about 30 times. It just hit me, such a wonderful song. Actually the only song I know all the words by now.  8) And I'm so happy they played it live at all the shows I went to yet.

But I also love the live performance of BORN FERAL a lot.

Just watched the video of Drifts. I'm a way surprised and imagining about seeing it live; what would it be, how would they sound etc. Think about Ceri performing the bass on it. That's an ever-mysterious favourite band putting out new material year after years... Astounding.

Cheers!

Nice to see your name on here again after a long break Rusco. Ceri's Bass on Drifts is wonderful, just like the intro to Echo November.

I love also to hear you lots here. I've been a way too busy recently. Planned to do some of the gigs on October or November somewhere in midst of europe but now have cancelled it all. It's a pity, but the reason is all the renovations.  ;) Well, when you talk about things concerned with bands you love so much as the NMA, there's always another chance - or???. (There's actually no one other like them.) Let's have a look at another odd event in future!

Cheers!

The album's three first songs are fantastic. Beginning is a very strong song to start with, it sounded a bit akward by the way Justin sang but at the same time it was a right on and it really goes to an amazing climax! In the beginning there was... everything  ;)

Loving the album, but has anyone else noticed how much musically (in parts) Die Trying sounds like Higher Wall & Weak and Strong like Orange Tree Roads?

But back to the question - Eyes Get Used to The Darkness is doing it for me presently....

Surprised at lack of mentions for Strogoula. For me the impact song of the album, like Dawn was on High. Really strong song that takes me on a voyage of thought. Love it.
Hala (from the Anglo-Saxon word "halh", meaning nook or remote valley), until it was gifted by King Henry II to Welsh Prince David Owen and became known as Halas Owen
