Nottingham pre-gig meet?

I guess it will be the Tap and Tumbler again, it's tradition and we're a superstitious lot!  OK, it'll be so crammed that any attending sardines will be saying 'Wow, it's a bit packed in here, more so than we're used to...' and the queue for the bar will probably be longer than the gig itself, but unless anyones got a better idea...?

Last year, it was put out that we go for a 4 - 4.30 meet (if you can make it to Nottingham at that time) to allow for pre-gig socialising / imbibing, then off for the 6.30 opening of the doors and the traditional 'endless wait outside the venue in freezing and doubtlessly very wet conditions'... hell, it ain't Christmas without it!

Sounds good.  Me & our lass will be there (Nottingham, not necessarily the Tap) from Friday afternoon onwards so will no doubt be partaking in a few jars!!

Probably gonna get into Notts about 1pm, bite to eat somewhere, check into the hotel, probably a quick snooze (hey, I'm getting old!) and then onto the Tap for about 4.30.  What are your plans?

Can't wait, haven't missed a NMA Christmas gig at Rockers for years... always a highlight of my year.

Mate Ill probably say hi around half five ish. Similar plans i land about two in notts and obligatory nap also. Definitely an age thing!

Around 5.30 for me to. Get into town around 5 then grab something to eat.

Not quite a year on, but best part of a year has passed. I find it scary that a year has passed since me, Pol, Drummyb, and Master Ray were sat round a table in the Tap. It feels like three months ago. Time does seem to move faster the older you get , and the older, the faster. At this rate, the rest of my life will feel like 5 years

Seeing (as Viv said) the doors open at 6 (and it'll take bloody forever to get into the venue) and the first set starts at 7, probably just a quick one in the Tap for some folks here?

On the bright side, seems like it will be quite mild in Nottingham tomorrow, although somewhat rainy... so, wet and NOT freezing, in the endless Rock City queue... hmm, doesn't seem right somehow!
