Special Guests Cologne
« on: September 20, 2017, 07:38:52 PM »
Just noticed on www.contour-music.de: special guests in Cologne will be "The Young Gods"  - never heard of them...

Still wonder who might join the Army on stage as guests during their set.

Never heard of them either but my friend Tilman who follows NMA seems to like them a lot. I hope they are good.

Now when I'm thinking about forthcoming plans in December I can't afford probably to a trip to Cologne because we're travelling to Pattaya in November. Ah, sh#£&ing cricket this would be an awesome chance to see two of my ultimate fave bands...

One thing that tells quite a lot about what kind of band Young Gods is, is that David Bowie himself was once known to rate the Young Gods as the best industrial band.

Geez, just listen to songs like Jusqu'au BoutRue des Tempetes, or Seeräuber Jenny for some to mention.

I'm rethinking this. Just today talked with my wife about this gig, and we thought how'd we take a trip without taking any holidays. Man, the gig is only on Sat so there should be a chance to do it!

I am very pleased to know if someone at the gig today in Cologne is filming, recording or documenting it in a way or another.

German Article about the Köln Concert with a lot of pictures:

http://www.halternerzeitung.de/Nachrichten/Alternative-Christmette-mit-nachdenklich-kritischem-Rock-1237637.html

Generally positive article too and nicely written. Although, while the author knows the songs and lyrics, he also thought to sense a touch of routine in the performance of the band, which I definitely did not notice. But maybe I was just standing too far back.  ;)
