Hello, I've been absent for a while... so what have you all been up to?

Here's my update...

My work is politically bonkers (so reflecting the world out there) but I'm head above water (just).  Due to work requirements I've started a PhD, which scares me shitless, but if I don't think about it too hard I'm ok   I had a nice summer gigging and festval-ing; and seen NMA a handful of times.  Bradford was very special for a number of reasons.  And my personal life... hahahaha    it's ******* stupid  .  No doubt I'll be dripping my bleeding heart on you all once more

Been a busy year , done about 3 months  'extra' work at troon including a solid 8 week run . I've settled into my new flat fully since moving in April. Benji has been here for about 7 weeks including last week , he's a great wee dog but he is really smart n you keep 1 step ahead.  Really happy with the amount of work I got done on my arm , gonna book another tattoo next week on my left arm this time , it's not even a giger one lol , all I'm saying is it's something from a tv series.  Not been up to much personally but I'm feeling pretty good despite hitting the big 5 0 still vaping n only use diy liquids these days it's way cheaper n lets me mix larger amounts instead of buying 10ml bottles  (fckin tpd) . All in pretty decent tho not much me time

I quit smoking nearly two years ago. And took nicotinell for about one year. Then quit chewing nicotinell last Jan. I was surprised how easy was it this time compared to the first time I tried to quit in 2010. But now no problems at all. Well, I started to get lot more weight year ago. And did try to start some fitness things. At first it was enjoyable but then suddenly in April I stopped the excersices. But now I have some new plans to continue it again. I actually turned to vegan and it helped a lot and I think I'll maybe get back to a size that I used to be long time ago.

Welcome back, Sheena. 

This year...has been mixed, I suppose, very busy at all times - not complaining, though. It started off with some health scares for my best friend and my dad, it all turned out well, thank goodness.

We got a 3rd dog which was a bit of a crazy thing to do - but in a good way, no regrets here.

November will be unusually busy with concerts - I don't go to that many these days - so that has to be a good thing.

I've booked more tattooing too - extending my foot vine up my leg.  The plan is that eventually it'll be one continuous piece across my body too.  Excited!

For me...? Halfway between the gutter and the stars, as Fatboy Slim once said.  Sometimes in the 'stars' (albeit briefly) and an unfortunate amount of time in the gutter.  So, 2013 again...

Ive had a good year thus far. Not too many upsets, bar losing one of my best mates. The only up is that I hadnt seen her for a couple of years, and on learning she hadnt long left, I got to say goodbye. It also meant Ive visited my other best mate, her hubby, a couple of times since. We'd all lost touch cos of distance.

Works stayed the same, no dramas, little man started school. All in all a steady year. I have to say I enjoy middle aged. I can cope with things wayyyy better.

First year here has been difficult at times. Work has been hard to find and didn't really kick off until late Spring/early Summer which was quite a strain.

The year started really really shite, having to rehome Cromwell was _fucking awful and still hurts now. But it did get better. Quite a few short trips courtesy of Ryanair and seriously peeps - Sicily is lovely. And as for touring around from home here in Rhineland-Pfalz, wow just awesome, we can be in 4 different countries within an hour and a half and there's SO much to see here.

Not so much to do though ..........

Honestly, square mile upon square mile of Dead Zone (see what I did there MR with the SK nod   )  Village after Village that is just a ghost town, , driving around sometimes seems like there is a curfew after 5.00pm., Suffice to say that for a city girl like my wife here is not where we want to stay, We've put the house on the market (though feck knows how long selling it might take) and looking at heading up to the Ruhrpott area as and when,

Still all is not lost - off to Las Vegas next month and maybe back home to poor deluded England for a couple of weeks around christmas.

I recommend the Niederrhein - if you don't travel too deep into it - best of both worlds...a bit rural and quiet - but the Ruhrpott is just a stone's throw away. Love it here  Good luck Hope you'll find something nice.
