Anyone going to The Levellers / NMA in Manchester, Jul 1st?
« on: April 04, 2018, 07:12:32 PM »

Just found out The Wildhearts are playing as well!  If it wasn't a 'must' before', it certainly is now!

Three fine bands on the same bill.  I know Bunny's up for it, anyone else?  Could be an excuse for a good pre-gig meet to tide us over until the inevitable and eagerly awaited NMA Christmas tour...   ???
... but at what point does it stop being CPR and start being like trying to reanimate a corpse?

MR have you clocked their will also be a reggae band on, Zion Train? Bit of a strange mix this one. So with liquid sunshine, theres likely to be a bit of funk in the air!!

I know nothing about Zion Train... but I do remember seeing The Stone Roses at Heaton Park a few years ago and The Wailers (without Bob, obviously) doing an hour long reggae set.. fook me, that was dreary, I've seen some terrible support acts before but this was a whole new level of bad.   ::)

Nearer the time I'll investigate what times the bands are on, seeing as open-air gigs are so expensive when it comes to drinks, we might 'pre-load' before getting into the venue... or figure out how to smuggle some drinks in there!   ;)
