what a place for a gig

Visited this place Tuesday - Halde Haniel near Bottrop. Its a huge slag heap reimagined as a viewpoint, art trail and ....... ampitheater. Have no idea how the logistics of a gig would work but would be really cool  8)

i heard of that place, but i cannot see a picture here neither. i see that there was something inserted but with a grey no-passing-through sign.

I didn't know this place, but it does look very interesting:

http://www.halden.ruhr/halde-haniel.html (Website in Germam, but with a lot of pictures)

I could imagine a "Pit of a thousand voices"  ;)

It's an awesome place, they have held all kinds of events there already - never been to one of them but they always get excellent reviews because of the very special atmosphere.  :)

Must admit I thought that too or maybe a JS & DW gig
