Joy Division
pre-1985 Sisters of Mercy
Pink Floyd with Roger Waters (ideally around or before Wish You Were Here)
Motorhead (never got round to it)
The Doors
Husker Du (Could have gone but didn't grrr)
Marillion with Fish
Talking Heads

Glad I saw:
REM
Talk Talk
Red Lorry Yellow Lorry
Bowie
Nephilim (Original line-up)
Simon & Garfunkel

I'm in the same boat regarding Husker Du who are my all time faves.  The played Manchester in June 1987 but on the same night I'd been invited to a wedding reception so I though, I'll see them next time round, but to my horror they split up in January 1988 so it wasn't to be, totally gutted indeed.  I have seen Sugar, Bob solo and with band and also Grant Hart solo but it'snot quite the same.

I liked Husker Du at the time but there were other bands (such as NMA) that I was more obsessed with. I just figured I'd see them on the next tour which never happened. Could have seen them in Hamburg in 87 on the Warehouse... tour. My mates went and were buzzing for weeks afterwards. I got to appreciate them much more as time went on. I like all of Bob Mould's other incarnations but he never really matched that raw sound of anger and desperation as he did with Husker Du.

Heck, there's another one to add to my 'grateful' list... Motorhead.  They were superb.  And, without a doubt, the loudest band I ever heard.  I've never stood directly in front of a jet engine but I can only imagine it was something like a live Motorhead gig...   ;D

Well, they did have a reputation to uphold :-) One of those bands that I always liked but kinda took for granted because they always seemed to be touring.

Most of these are bands/artists that I was just barely of legal age to see at the time.
Without further ado and in no particular order - wish I'd seen...

Paul Raven era Killing Joke
Keith Moon and John Entwistle  era of  Who
John Bonham  era  Led Zeppelin
Jeff Buckley
Nina Simone
Leonard Cohen
Ofra Haza
Jeff Healey
Robb Heaton  era  New Model Army
Taylor Hawkins  era  Foo Fighters
Pete Shelley  era  Buzzcocks
Keith Whittaker  both with & without  Demics
Christina Amphlett  while with  Divinyls
Haydain Neale  while with  JackSOUL
Chris Cornell  era  Soundgarden  &  Audioslave
Michael Hutchence  era  INXS

SO glad I got to see them, while they were still here...

Aretha Franklin
Conway Savage  era  Bad Seeds
Chris Acland  era  Lush
Dolores O'Riordan  while with  Cranberries
David Bowie  (well, almost... the long story is in these pages, somewhere... ok, just found it here)

absolutely REGRET seeing...
Prick
Nine Inch Nails  (long story, both played the same bill as the Bowie gig I was at)

Had no interest what-so-ever in seeing...
Nirvana  (yeah, was never into them, well Kurt Cobain's general style, to be quite frank.  Foo Fighters, on the other hand, I'll take them over  Nirvana  any day!  Love the them!!

'Prick'?   ???

Good call on Lush, massively under-rated band... yes I did see them a couple of times, back in the day...

The one non-nma gig I seriously regret going to...

Yeah, Prick.  They were on the same bill as  Nine Inch Nails  and  David Bowie.   It was THE worst concert experience of my entire life!  Not because of the bands, but because of a number of Nine Inch Nail  fans.  Other than that, if you've never been into industrial music, you won't be missing much.

Same thinking here although I did get to see Steve Ignorant's Slice Of life in 2014 in a local town to me and he did perform some Crass songs, but it still wasn't quite the same.

Genuinely never heard of that band!  I will avoid!

Tonight, as you stare at the ceiling again
With your lover turning away
Disappointment closing in
Like the walls... and you try...
You try to talk about love
And they put their arms around you
But you still feel all alone
Wonder why...
