The german text:

Ganz Oben. Ganz großes Kino. 10 / 10 Bängs. Mit Stern. EMPFEHLUNG DER REDAKTION!

My translation:
The music of the NMA follows me since the days of my youth. Is it the protest, which shines constantly through, the subtle criticism of the system, or is it the charismatic justin sullivan, who with his voice since almost 40 years has become indispensable for this band?

Justin told me once, that he would like to leave the world on stage. Though he isn't a "rampensau" (someone who wants to be in front of the stage and is acting for show and endorsement. rampensau is a negative expression for someone who wants and needs to be in the spotlight) to whom this would fit. Justin is a very blessed story-teller, a perfectionist and a visionary.

And exactly with those elements he plays on "from here". And maybe that's why it's me, who may say some words about the record. As a lighting engineer you always have to try to visualise music, in colours, patterns and atmosphere and bring moods to the stage.

But beforehand i must say. I cannot review this album, by dividing it into pieces or titles. This is just one big "Gesamtkunstwerk" complete artwork.
From the desperation in the opener "passing through" to the reflectiveness in "from here", the title song and also last track on the album...Here one track leads to another, fits together, one song a theme on its own, but in the whole become complete.

"From here" is a milestone for me. Not only in the long history of the band, but in the history of modern musik. With this album the NMA arrived after a long journey there, where they always have belonged.

An album full of colurs, full of gray shades and images in the mind, which you will not easy forget. And it is just unparalleled. I tried it with Pink Floyd and Lou Reed...it didn't work. It is different.

It is an album of a band, who went to a studio on a little norwegan island voluntarily into isolation, it is an album by a great collection of musicians and it is...a masterpiece.

To me the NMA is with From Here there, where their place has always been. At the zemith. At the very top. "Ganz großes Kino" (like fkn brilliant but with more honour;-) in germany we say: ganz großes kino, to express craftmanship, a very good production, when you savor everything well done)
10/10 Bängs. With a star. Recommendation by the editors.

You're welcome! And thx to Guillaume to bringing that up.
I liked the way he described the album in that article as "unparalleled". And i totally believe that he is right about it.

Long journey .... I can't wait, especially if the long journey means that "From here" follows completly different path than "Winter" and "Between Dog And Wolf". Remember the first impressions after Camden's version of "Watch & Learn". That was something like initial spirit came back.
