Manchester gig
« on: November 20, 2019, 06:00:15 PM »
Does anyone know the times for Manchester please? In the past, there has been an early start because there has been an early curfew. 10.00 o clock in the past I think. A couple of years ago, they cut the power halfway through Green And Grey and we had to finish the song without the band!

From Ticketmaster:

"Doors for the show on 22 November 2019 will now be opening at 19:00, rather than 18:30. Curfew will be at 23:00"

Not sure about stage time.

It does appear that there isn't a 'club night' (which is why we often get early shows) on that date, so I think it'll be a 9pm start for NMA.

Check out Grand Central or The Salisbury for post gig drinks!

I've just checked the ticket and it says 10.00 o clock curfew on them. I guess we'll find out when we get there.

from facebook

We are sorry to announce that we have been forced to postpone our shows in Manchester tonight and Birmingham tomorrow. Michael Dean has developed serious blood clots in his left leg and has been advised under no circumstances to play. We are deeply sorry for the inconvenience, especially for people who have traveled a long way.

Thanks to our promoter we have already been able to schedule the shows to early January - Birmingham Fri 10 Jan and Manchester Sat 11 Jan. Tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled dates. Anyone unable to attend the rescheduled dates should contact their original point of purchase to request a refund.

Aw, that's bad, get better soon Michael.

For those who might have made hotel reservations and the like, hey, at least you're in Manchester, a fine city for a night out, hopefully you can still salvage a fun time tonight!

We didn't stay too late but nice to see some familiar faces in the "after show" party round the corner. Great moment when everyone picked up the pool table and moved it out of the way.
All the best to Michael for a full and quick recovery.

I wonder if this is connected to the problems Michael had with his Knee a few years back. Very sorry to hear this.  I think we all know this band wouldn't postpone unless absolutely necessary. Best wishes to him for a speedy recovery.
