Justin Sullivan Solo Show In Istanbul 30th November
« on: November 28, 2019, 04:29:26 PM »
We are happy to announce that Justin will be playing a solo show at Zorlu PSM Studio, Istanbul on Saturday 30th November for the benefit of people who cannot change their travel plans this weekend. The promoter has kindly arranged the show in response to New Model Army having to cancel the original concert due to Michael's medical complications. Entry will be free.

Provisional times are:
Doors: 20.30
Justin Sullivan: 21.15ish

The original NMA gig has now been re-arranged for the 29th February 2020. Tickets for the original show are still valid for this new date. If people cannot attend, refunds should be sought from the original point of purchase.

Damn, I'm not going, but this is the kind of stuff that makes me understand why I love this band so much. That's an amazing thing to do, Justin rock the world :)

An excellent weekend was had by all

I even made time to do some of the touristy stuff while I was there even though I didn't have much time

Arrived around 2130 Friday night and back ar airport for 0730 Sunday

Well worth the trip though

If ya go ya have to do the traditional Turkish bath, Galata Tower, Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia cathedral
Is is a crime to believe in something different?

I meant what I said at the time that I said it

First of all thank you very much Justin for coming all the way and playing for us that was really kind attitude.I mentioned before Zorlu isn't a good place for an NMA gig. It's kinda place with all expensive stores, bars and lounges designed for rich jazz lovers. We went to buy some drinks to the bar in front of the upstairs and they said 'we have to get a zorlu card first and they will approve it with a txt message sent to my mobile phone and then we'll tell them the code and will load money to the card. Then we'll be able to buy the drinks.Such a stupid way to get some goddamn drinks. And in the gig Justin complained a few times that he can't see anything. He was right because the guy in the sound/light desk was a bit strange too.One time for some seconds he set the all green light on him and we witnessed the history  being first NMA fans seeing JS as an alien  ;).  Anyway it was a great show and despite all these small things we enjoyed it really.Well before 'Sun On Water' he talked about Istanbul and told what was in my mind..Whenever I come to this city,I see more and more buildings. The only thing beautiful here is the water.Damn right and I cursed again on the conditions force me to live in this ugly, giant, concrete city.Looking forward to gig in February with whole band and I believe it's going to be great too.
