Taylors are fantastic. I have a 312ce that sounds amazing. The cool thing about Taylors is that the necks are very similar electrics. So if you're usually an electric player, picking up a Tayor is very natural. Not that picking up any acoustic is unnatural but you know what I mean. I went from an old Ovation Celebrity Deluxe with the rounded back to the Talyor and it was a MASSIVE difference. The Ovation sounded cold and brittle and I almost had to fight it to play. It looked cool but because of the rounded back, it would slide around and was hard to play sitting down. The Taylor though, man, what a guitar. The wood on the neck is a satin finish that almost feels like bare wood. It's thinner than most acoustic necks too which makes it a breeze to play.
