Thanks for that mate was hoping for something in the 40 to 50 pounds range but I don't think that is going to happen. Like the look of the Double Tree by Hilton on booking.com £90 for 1 night and also in Piccadilly.

Have a look outside of the city centre. Ibis Budget at Salford Quays is a possible.

Another one for the after show party!  GC is a great pub, was in there this afternoon, The Salisbury is also great but the Thirsty Scholar is also a good-un...

I had this chat with Shush the other day about hotels...  I often stay at Premier Inns and usually get great rates, but the date of the NMA gig is, for some reason, really expensive. Perhaps both City and United are playing at home?  Or perhaps folks are coming over to do Christmas shopping?  Whatever, I'm also struggling a bit to find a room at a decent rate.  Any tips, please keep me posted.

Travelodge + Premier Inn etc are cheaper outside the City centre. We're driving back to Liverpool afterwards so if anyone finds something cheap @ Salford, Haydock, Warrington, M62, East Lancs Rd etc we may be able to offer a lift.
And we all feel this raging and we all feel the same
This crazy blinding fury that we cannot explain...

Deffo come to the aftershow, it's not a tickets-only kind of thing.  And Grand Central is a great pub.  The last aftershow had some really good musuc playing.  I'm sure you'll find someone friendly to talk to.

Jane, myself and Barty will be going, and will be glad to go with you. Don't worry, we are both old, and married, we will both act as gentlemen, or as near as we can be. send either of us a P/M if you like  :)

hello Purple - it's good to read this because , well I wouldn't say I'm shy, but I'm seriously a loner and yet bizarrely I love meeting people - It's just that it doesn't happen as naturally in our forties as it did in our twenties does it - so - good to see folk reaching out like this - it's inspiring, thanks.
Now unlike Shush and Barty I'm an utter sleazebag but I'm sure they will slap me about if i get out of order  ;)

Preston was a great gig huh? I stayed in the sidelines with my not impressed with seeing NMA AGAIN YAWN GF most of the night 'till I saw some poor sod just almost crumbling under a pyramid - then i went and squeezed his shoulders a bit - in a very friendly masculine and not at all gay way ok?  For all I know it was Barty - we'll find out in Manc.  Look forward to meeting you all x
