Some easing of covid measures... Tomorrow I can and I will:

1)go to bookstore, buy a pile of books
2)go to eat & grab a beer in my favourite pub
3)go drink beer to my favourite bar

Covid is far from over, I truly hope everybody will follow all rules & be careful... Anyway, lately I've started to feel buried alive at home, so I'll probably be the first person hanging on the doorhandle when the pub opens.

Well... It's been tough lockdown as Czech Republic, despite doing fine during the first wave, was hit real bad with the second wave. Frankly I find it a bit odd, easing the measures now... Yea, numbers are slowly going down now but still... In a country of roughly ten million people, there have been over 500 thousand cases (most reported in September & October) and currently the number of known active cases is around 65 thousand. Last time when they opened pubs after first lockdown, my fave pub was packed and nobody seemed to give an eff about anything... Now pubs&restaurants are allowed to open from tomorrow - with half capacity & max four people per table, closing at ten. I hope people will respect the rules. I'll see tomorrow

As of midnight tonight all Pubs,Clubs,Hotels and Gyms to close for up to a month here in Jersey after a massive rise in cases over the last week,even talk of using Nightingale Hospital.I am not at all surprised people have not taken it seriously enough (present company accepted)i hardly go out.Masks only made mandatory in last couple of days.............nobody seems to give a toss,think that will change now.....Bloody hope so. ...

Interesting reading posts from Guernsey and the Czech Republic, which seem to have made the same mistakes the UK did, and then followed pretty much the same pattern and attempts to control it.

But chins up. Theres light at the end of the tunnel, even if its still a long tunnel.

Hi Bunny,my post was from Jersey not Guernsey......they have handled the situation far better than our Clowns over here and as a result have only 4 cases at the moment,we have 331 a rise of 130 in a week ! !.

Im currently on the couch to 5k running plan, week 5. Went for a run in some local woods that Ive never been to before. Got absolutely plastered in mud but really enjoyed it. So happy I started it. I suspect I may have a new hobby starting.

Nice one,  never thought about running as I know it's not for me , yeah stick with it,  adrenalin and endorphins is a good kick.  I struggle exercising outside when its wet n windy. My max cycle is about 15m / 25km,  walk about 10m / 16km  ?
Just focusing on ticking over till the spring tbh .
