I feel your pain but your post did make me laugh. A lot.

Trying to keep it light over here in the USA. 

I have sourced the music on the internet, but I feel dirty listening to it (haven't yet), even though I am a paying customer.  I want the experience of the book, lyrics, artwork, the shirt.  Were it to show today (even tomorrow? please?) I would surely enjoy my weekend that much more.  Otherwise, I could get it legally at Amazon on Monday, but even that seems half assed.

And I've decided to forgo the bootleg and wait for the real deal to get here.

My wife and I tried something like this for the month before our wedding. Much as I like NMA, I think I'll be more "successful" this time around.

That is very disappointing.

Hard to think Townsend is to blame for these delays, but tough to look past success people have had with the NMA shop, especially the overseas stories (NZ in 5 days? Fantastic!)

Never ever had a problem ordering stuff from the shop... (Lots and lots of stuff!)

I ordered mine at Townsend cause that link was advised.
I paid thru PayPal en filled in my (delivery) address in the Netherlands.
Of course I got an email with my order number.

Later that day a friend asked me if I could order his stuff, cd & shirt.
I ordered it, paid via credit card this time and filled in HIS (delivery) address, UK based.
Got a second email with, of course, a different order number.

When the cd was released and people started mentioning their delivery on Facebook I got suspicious
cause nothing arrived here in the Netherlands, nor in the UK. I checked my account at Townsend and
guess what - they were gonna use the UK address for both orders!!! So in the end, my cd arrived on
Guernsey where my friend lives. He got his items and my cd.
He was so thoughtfull and kind to send it right over to the Netherlands but it does not make sense, at all!

I have received it by now but I do not understand why Townsend used his address for my (1st) order ...

Well, it seems the paying customers have reached a consensus on Townsend Records.  To be fair, my experience probably has as much to do with customs and slow US postal service, but seems clear not the case for all. 

And, Townsend says they ship Friday before release, while many who ordered from NMA shop were receiving theirs by then, so there's that. NMA shop said shipping started week earlier than Townsend, but you can't blame Townsend for that, just speaks to general awesomeness of NMA shop.

BTW, you can now download BDAW at NMA shop.  Yay!

triple check reveals that Townsend has only one address for me, and it's the right one.

Now, do I go straight to NMA shop to pay 7.99 for download, to enjoy privilege of album one day earlier than I might expect shipment?  Surely it will come tomorrow, right?  RIGHT?!?!

Willard, I hear and understand your frustration. However, Between Dog And Wolf is not even released in North America until tomorrow so it is fairly understandable that you have yet to recieve the album. Hopefully you will have a lovely package delivered to your door at some point over the next few days

True enough Viv. Just feeling a bit left out of the fun people are having. Big props again to the shop for getting their job done. wish I'd gone that route!
