1st Single: OMD - Enola Gay
1st Album: Thompson Twins - Into the Gap (I think, I might be wrong though and in any case I had bought a few shitty tape compilations before then)

Last single: ... er, not sure really, do bands release singles anymore? Not many of those I listen to obviously...
Last album: (bought precisely today) Stiff Little Fingers - Assume Nothing. Question Everything. If compilations/best ofs don't count then it's Jim Bob - What I Think About When I Think About You (ordered it a few days ago, arrived yesterday)

First 7" was Ghost Town by THE SPECIALS
Last 7" was technically March In September flexi! Before that though er........
BRICKTOP self titled 7" on Randal Records. (Good mates of mine from Tucson, Arizona)

Ah yeah, I meant to mention the March In September flexi disc.  I was allowing for cd singles too though, which I've never been much of a collector of. As for 7 inch vinyl, I think the last one of those I bought was probably something like Snowy White - Peace On Earth, which came with a free Les Paul Gold Top badge  ::)

1st   Disco Fever.  A compilation album.  Presumably my Mum bought it for me, I can't even remember why I particularly wanted it now.  There must have been something on it I liked I guess, or it had been advertised on TV.   I think the original double LP of The War of the Worlds was quite an early one too, although I'm a bit hazy on that.

Last:  A Jesca Hoop album at one of her gigs.  This has reminded me that I've never played it and don't actually know where it is!   I think this was before Dog and Wolf  turned up in the post, but after I had ordered it online, so not sure which counts as the latest.

Singles, I can't remember.

1st Kiss - Dynasty or Queen - Day at the races (both on cassette as I only had a cassette player at that time, sometime around 1978/1979 (happy times; listening to radio shows trying to catch a song on tape without the radio dj talking through the intro or outro of a song, pressing the "record" (orange) and "play" buttons at the same time.

Last; Mintzkov: Sky hits ground (if you like dEUS check out this great Belgium band) and Arcade Fire: Reflektor

Singles;
1st New Order; Blue Monday (12 inch)
last; can't remember but March in September came with the magazine I bought so that should count

First record I owned was 'Breaking Glass' by Hazel O'Connor, but that was a (much wanted) Christmas prezzie rather than me spending my own money - that would be 'Non-Stop Erotic Cabaret' by Soft Cell - which I played every day without fail for over a year. No wonder my family weren't keen.
Most recent purchase 'BDAW', of course!
'If I die before I wake up, I pray the Lord don't smudge my make up.' - Marc Almond, St Judy

1st LP - Foreigner: Double Vision
1st Single - We don't singles in the US, but I did buy up all of Peter Gabriel's singles on CD when I ran out of albums to buy of his.
1st CD - Peter Gabriel: 3
Last LP - Neko Case: The worse things get, the harder I fight; the harder I fight, the more I love you (Also - the longest album name I think I own)
Last Single - Either NMA related or a Smoking Popes single I bought last year or so.
Last CD - Just bought a stack:
You Don't Know Me - An Eddie Arnold tribute album (which is weird because he only wrote one or two songs, tops)
Gifted - Women of the World (Realworld Gold series reissues)
Owen - L'Ami du Peuple
Divided and United - Songs of the Civil War (compilation of US Civil War songs sung by some of the greats of bluegrass and country)
Jason Isbell - Southeastern
Midlake - Antiphon (either they got a new singer or dudes voice has changed since the last few albums)

First album (didn't buy it but did ask for it for Christmas 1975!) - All Around My Hat - Steeleye Span

I remember that album. The cover used to fascinate me. My dad had it and I remember listening to it with him when I was 5 or 6.
