Just watched the 50th anniversary special and the last Christmas special of DOCTOR WHO to get me in the mood for tomorrow nights debut episode of Peter Capaldi as the new Doctor... yes, as I have mentioned before, I am a total nerd...

Just watched that new GODZILLA flick... enjoyable enough in a switch-your-brain-off kind of a way, but why do these big Hollywood movies spend tens of millions of $$$ on the special effects and about $20 on the script?  Bryan Cranston aside, there wasn't a single interesting character in the whole movie.

The Marvel movies (THOR, IRON MAN, AVENGERS etc) are much better thanks to throwing in humour, good actors and characterisation into the mix...

Whatever.  DOCTOR WHO is on in about half an hour...

Just found a film I loved from my childhood on Youtube... THE MEDUSA TOUCH (1976), with Richard Burton.  Aint seen it in a couple of decades... I'm half an hour in and it's every bit as good as I remember it.  Well worth checking out, here's the trailer... damn, they don't make them like this one anymore...

Still love the first MATRIX, the other two... some good scenes here and there, but a bit disappointing IMO.

BLADE RUNNER, on the other hand, will always be awesome.  Glad I saw the directors cut on a big screen back in the 90's.  Fantastic.

Did you hear that Ridley Scott is trying to get BLADE RUNNER 2 started.  Please, after the shit that was PROMETHEUS, just don't... don't piss on BR the way you did on the ALIEN movies...

so now i have the matrix, the hobbit, lotr, and three bourne movies, star wars, firefly.......there is something missing, not sure what though

think i am going to go all the way back and start breaking bad again. also, house of cards needs a reprise. last series of parks and rec to go through. and i've started watching some movies that support the whole forbidden archaeology agenda to see what that is all about.
