Just finished watching a bloody GREAT UK film called NORTHERN SOUL... it's about, yes, the whole northern soul movement... a young lad gets into this underground scene in 1974 and, well, stuff happens... no spoilers here...

I can't believe this film wasn't a bigger hit when it was out at the pictures a few months back.  Great acting, a truly evocative portrayal of life in the 70's and some bloody fantastic tunes.  A really well made film.

I can't recommend this one highly enough, guys.

Bit of an afternoon / evening in front of the DVD / telly...

COLORS, cracking good late 80's film about gang war in LA, directed by Dennis Hopper no less...  bit dated but well worth a look...

Last nights DOCTOR WHO finale... loved it!

And finished it off with DEAD MANS SHOES, which I've brought up before, one of my fave movies ever... never get tired of this one (Shush will back me up on this one...)

I sure will. A credit to British film making which now relies on acting ability and story line over big budgets  ;)

Dawn of the planet of the apes.
 8)Apes. With guns!!!
Hala (from the Anglo-Saxon word "halh", meaning nook or remote valley), until it was gifted by King Henry II to Welsh Prince David Owen and became known as Halas Owen

And also on horseback!

The next film will probably have the apes on bloody ROCKETCYCLES!  Just like in FLASH GORDON!

I think it was made like the old tv series which is why it holds its own. Used to love Star Wars but its disappeared up its own rear end......side note. Ted. Sam Jones mocking himself was funny!!
