Episode 2 new black mirror.  Fk wot can I say , probably the darkest sadest episode ever , almost brought a cry tear to my eye . Bet something like this has most likely happened .

Gotta leave the post with some a perfect circle.

Yeah, it was a good 'un.  Be interested in what you think of the next one... very different in tone.   ;)

Black mirror 5/3 . My least favourite out the 3 but still entertaining. Kudos to Miley Cyrus you've gained some respect

Yeah, I'm not a fan of hers but I think she gave a really good performance...

Dunno if you're into Nine Inch Nails, but (if so) did you notice that the pop songs she was singing were all somewhat re-written NIN tunes?

Finally got around to the last couple of episodes of 'The Virtues'... Good Lord, what a heartbreaker.  Shane Meadows and Stephen Graham might actually have done their best work here, but the whole cast were just superb.  Special mentions to Niamh Algar (Dinah) and Mark O'Halloran (Craigy), two actors I've never heard of before but would put most well-known actors to shame with their performances.

Astonishing television, beautiful and sad, it's a toss-up between this and Chernobyl as to the best TV of the year.  Do watch 'The Virtues', if you haven't yet.  I know I've posted the trailer before, but just in case you missed it...  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DOons8oVsmE

.
"Chernobyl" is going to take the prize. So well made on all counts. Production, script, music, acting, direction, art direction...all outstanding.

Only drawback to the series is that some of it was over-dramatized. In other words, some of it didn't happen. The helicopter dumping its chemical load onto the exposed core and crashing did not happen.

By the way, if you liked "Chernobyl," give "The Terror" a go. The actor who was so great in "Chernobyl" -- Jared Harris -- is astonishing as the Captain of the doomed ship in "The Terror." You think things were bad in Chernobyl? Wait till you see what Harris is up against in "The Terror."

Oh, wait a minute, please disregard my post. We are not supposed to talk to each other, right?

A very poor first half performance by Scotland against Japan, after their  game against England and watching how Japan played against Argentina i had Scotland to beat both teams. They need to improve massively in the second half to avoid a heavy defeat and almost certain elimination from the competition...........time will tell...come on Scotland...

Scotland slightly better in the second half, flattering scoreline ,scored from a terrible piece of Japanese defending........Japan by far the better team...

My advice to you: root for team USA. We won the other day by a score of...wait for it....THIRTEEN to zero!

Waaah. The greatest blow out in World Cup history - women's or men's! - and you can't deal with our greatness.

Face it, U-S-A! U-S-A! is the best team on planet Earth. THIRTEEN to zero! Everybody knows that they would beat the German, English, Brazilian men's teams. That's a fact. 13 to nothing. Greatest win in World Cup history. Believe it, Neymar and Harry Kane and Messi would never want to play us. I'll be fair, it wouldn't be 13-0 against them, but we would win 8-2. Our firepower has never before been seen in soccer. THIRTEEN GOALS!

Plus we have the best looking soccer player on planet Earth. Alex -- scored FIVE goals the other day! -- Morgan:

England v Argentina. Good game. Argentina are pretty poor, but like the mens team, a little bit niggly.

To Live And Die In LA.  One of the finest 80's crime movies.  Great cast, terrific script, and it still manages to be a proper nasty hardcore flick even when it has a soundtrack by bloody Wang Chung!

And I'll say that there are no 'good guys' in this film, just varying shades of 'bastard'...

Deep breath,i have finally calmed down just watched the Tory leadership hustings on CH4.After all these years as a Labour supporter ( not voter as i live in Jersey, and cannot vote in UK elections).I realise i have got it all wrong.........i think you should put all the candidates names in a hat and just pull one out.It does'nt matter which name comes out, they are all great...want to change every inequality in the country, great education, health care, prosperity, prospects for all.Never before (well not lately  ;D ) have i heard from such a caring bunch of chaps................what a load of bollocks, whoever wins will revert to type, and follow their Tory values they have always believed in......NOTHING will change.. >:(..
